McGuire and Hester’s scope of work included 6.2 miles of pipeline, 12 pump stations, 152 foot pedestrian bridge, 3 overlook structures, and two traffic signals at two intersections. This project carried a few challenges such as multiple starts/stops, accelerated schedule, time constraints, and challenging soil conditions. We initiated redesign of multiple elements and acquired additional scope due to our multi-trade capabilities. We worked closely with the Bay Conservation & Development Commission (BCDC) on the shoreline work.
We are honored to be a part of this project that revitalizes open space allowing community access to the waterfront and creates a workspace influenced by the light and water dynamics of the San Francisco Bay.
