The facility’s main focus is transfer containers from rail to truck trailer with over a thousand trucks entering and exiting daily. The new parking lot, which is to be used as a storage lot for truck trailers, required earth moving of 27,000+ CYD, grading and aggregate base rock finish of 450,000 SF, and installation of underground storm drainage.

Crews also performed all grading and paving work. The road rehabilitation portion of the project required removal and replacement of 110 concrete panels that make up the 1 mile long entrance road to the secured intermodal facility.
