Desription

The City of Davis and UC Davis depend on this transmission main as their primary water supply. While we performed the work residents were required to use a well system with storage tanks. The project was to be completed in an aggressive five-day period to restore access to the main water supply. It took three days to disinfect the 5,800 LF pipeline, and while that took up most of our schedule, crews worked quickly and efficiently to remove a damaged piece of 30″ welded steel pipe and installed a new 30″ x 24″ access port and 72″ manhole. As a result, the City and all residents have restored access to a reliable and healthy water supply.
