Larkspur Doherty Complete Streets Project

The overall scope of the project consists of maintenance of the traffic control system and water pollution control program. Our team removed and disposed of curb and gutter, asphalt concrete roadway pavement, existing irrigation, trees and shrubs. We made storm drainage improvements, constructed concrete curb ramps, sidewalk, curb and gutter. Also, we constructed a new retaining wall, installed chain link fence, and placed hot mix asphalt (HMA). Our team removed and replaced traffic striping and markings, installed pavement markers, installed object markers and signs, excavated and installed storm drainage pipe and structures, as well as relocated utilities and motor control center. McGuire and Hester backfilled trenches and installed irrigation and landscaping.

The start of school was the largest challenge on this project. All site improvements to curb ramps, trail and concrete wall needed to be in place prior to the start of school. Our team completed the majority of the scope of work in under 2 months, just in time for the beginning of the school year.
