Bringing New Life to Closter Park

Funded by a $6.8 million Proposition 68 grant, the Closter Park Revitalization Project includes a wide range of upgrades: new restrooms and concession facilities, an amphitheater for public performances, a fitness loop with lighting and exercise equipment, and enhanced baseball fields for youth and adults. Additional features include a skate plaza, a modern playground, farmers market and event space, shaded picnic areas, outdoor kitchen/BBQ facilities, gazebos, horseshoe pits, and interactive public art. Construction began in April 2025 and is expected to continue for 18 months, with completion anticipated in Fall 2026. The revitalization ensures improved accessibility, landscaped open space, and preservation of community memorials, securing Closter Park’s role as a vibrant hub for recreation and cultural connection.
