Desription

McGuire and Hester crews performed all of the underground utilities, concrete, and landscaping for this project. Our crews also did some off-site work installing new utilities, replacing old utilities, and provided a new Lift Station for the City of Brisbane, and provided two new signalized intersections.

This project is on an old landfill with a lot of authorities having jurisdiction. We needed to relocate the “clay cap” for much of the utility work, and the water system involved an incredible amount of work. The water main and laterals were encased in a 5’x5’ fused 60-mil HDPE membrane with perf drainage below the main, and perf gas vents above. The whole system was graded to drain and vent. Due to our inability to shore the system because of this liner, many trenches had to be benched with and overall width of 20-ft wide.
