Berths 55 and 56

Working directly for General Construction Co., McGuire and Hester was a major contributor in the construction of the new marine terminal wharf. We moved over one million cubic yards of material, a portion of which was contaminated with heavy metals. Additionally, McGuire and Hester installed a new underground storm drain system with pipe sizes ranging from 72” to 12” in extremely poor soil conditions. McGuire and Hester also installed the potable and fire water lines under the new wharf. Placement and compaction of approximately 1,625,000 square feet of asphalt was the final portion of our work.
