Internships

McGuire and Hester offers internships throughout the year. We focus on students who major in Construction Management and Civil Engineering. The goal of our internship program is to develop professional, career-related assignments that will build upon McGuire and Hester’s corporate objectives and the academic knowledge of the intern.

Each intern will be paired with two McGuire and Hester employees to make sure their experience is valuable. The first is the supervisor, who will work directly with the intern, set objectives and evaluate the intern’s performance. The supervisor is also responsible for orientation, training and continuous feedback to the intern. The second is the mentor who will serve as the intern’s advisor and friend within the company.

Each year representatives from McGuire and Hester visit targeted universities to recruit qualified students for full-time positions and our internship program.
